This site is comprised of articles that I have written for the Alamo PC organization. Alamo PC is the premier PC users group in South Texas and one of the largest in the nation. In the Computer Defense Department articles I use my experience, knowledge and a lot of research to provide information on one of the biggest threats to computer users - malware. In a recent study by the Cyber Security Alliance over 90% of home computers are infected with spyware and most users don't even know it. I see this is evident on a daily basis as I am called to wrestle computers back from the clutches of this evil vermin. Most of these articles feature information about the spy or malware itself, reviews of Antispyware software and precautions you can take to prevent your computer from falling to its prey.
